Chukwuma Soludo, governor of Anambra state, has commended Somtochukwu Udeze, speaker of the Anambra house of assembly, and Paul Nwosu, commissioner for information.
On April 12, the people of Atani, headquarters of Ogbaru LGA in Anambra state, held a homecoming ceremony for “their two illustrious sons”.
Udeze and Nwosu “were treated to a grand reception organised by the Atani Town Union at Central School, Atani, in solidarity and appreciation for their good works in government which have continued to make the community proud,” Rose Oranye, an official of the ministry of information in Anambra, said in a statement.
“The occasion was also organized to thank the Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo CFR for giving their sons the opportunity to serve in government.”

Among those who attended the event were members of the Anambra state executive council, members of the federal house of representatives, members of the state house of assembly, 10 traditional rulers, various age grades and chieftains of the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA).
Soludo, who was represented at the event by Solo Chukwulobelu, secretary to the state government, described Udeze and Nwosu as “politicians who have distinguished themselves through rendering selfless services to the state”.
He commended Udeze for the “manner he has presided over the house since he took over”. He added that this was why he was elected speaker based “on his experience as a ranking member”.
