Three suicide bombers on Friday night detonated explosives at Simari area of Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, killing themselves and wounding three members of the civilian joint task force.
Satomi Ahmad, SEMA chairman, who confirmed the incident to TheCable, said it happened around 9:30pm on the day.
“No casualty has been recorded; three suicide bombers died. May almighty Allah continue to protect our dear state,” he said.
“Unfortunately, two CJTF members sustained injury and evacuated successfully for treatment.”

Maiduguri has come under intense attacks lately. Boko Haram commanders released in exchange for some of the Chibok girls vowed to unleash more attacks on the city after their release.
