Suspected hoodlums in Imo state, have set the secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state on fire.
The development comes less than 24 hours after Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo hosted the warring factions in the state at the presidential villa in Abuja.
The meetings ended in a deadlock.
Crisis broke out in the Imo chapter of the party after the ward congress of the state.

A faction led by by Eze Madumere, the deputy governor, had organised the congress but Rochas Okorocha, the governor, who felt shut out said a fresh ward congress must be held.
On Friday, suspected thugs put fire on the building, located on Okigwe road in Owerri, the state capital.
The fire reportedly destroyed some files and document but it was later put out.

Hilary Eke, chairman of the party in the state, who is of the Madumere faction, said he had reported the incident ti the police.
“I have already petitioned the inspector-general of police over the attack on the secretariat the other Saturday. My duty is to report to the police and the police have the duty to investigate,” he said.
