Victor Osimhen, Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, has deleted posts related to Napoli, his Italian club, on his Instagram page.
The development follows after a controversial video was shared by Napoli on its verified TikTok handle.
On Tuesday, Napoli put out a video on the social media platform wherein it appeared to be mocking Osimhen’s penalty loss in the club’s goalless draw against Bologna.
The video has continued to attract widespread condemnation from football lovers.

The 24-year-old however left a picture of himself leaping highest to score in August.
Both the player and club do not follow each other on the social media platform before the latest turn of events.
Osimhen, who has scored three goals in the new season, has failed to find the net in the past three matches, culminating in the penalty miss on Sunday.
He also reacted angrily to his substitution late in the game as the club went in futile search of a winner.

The Nigerian, who was last season’s Serie A highest goalscorer, is not short of suitors, with the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain all looking to sign him.
Osimhen, yet to agree to new contract terms, has two years left on his current deal which expires in June 2025.
