Catholic Herald is a weekly newspaper founded in June 21, 1924, by the Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos.

In a statement on Friday, Anthony Godonu, director of social communications of the Lagos archdiocese, said the lecture will be delivered by Matthew Kukah, Catholic Bishop of Sokoto diocese.

Godonu noted that the newspaper, which began as a monthly publication, has stood the test of time as it celebrates its 100 years of existence.

“For many years The Catholic Herald was the sole organ of information and opinion for the Catholic Church throughout Nigeria,” Godonu said.

The lecture will have top government functionaries, political leaders, captains of industries, religious leaders, royal fathers and elder statesmen in attendance.
