Tinubu appoints board members for CrediCorp

President Bola Tinubu has appointed board members for the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP).

Ajuri Ngelale, the presidential aide on media and publicity, announced the appointments in a statement on Wednesday.

He said the move was aimed at expediting the process of expanding consumer credit access to Nigerians.

According to Ngelale, the new board members include Aderemi Abdul, chairman of the board (independent non-executive director); Uzoma Nwagba, managing director and chief executive officer; as well as Aisha Abdullahi, executive director (credit, risk and portfolio)/CRO.

“Others are: Olanike Kolawole – Executive Director (Operations)/COO, Armstrong Ume Takang – Non-Executive Director (MOFI Nominee), Peter Iwegbu – Non-Executive Director (NIMC Nominee), Mohammed Nasiru Abbas – Non-Executive Director (FMITI Nominee), Marvin Nadah – Non-Executive Director (FCCPC Nominee), and FMF Representative – Non-Executive Director (FMF),” Ngelale said.

The presidential aid said Tinubu expects the new board members to bring their “vast experience, competence, and dedication” to bear in their functions to achieve CREDICORP’s mandate of accelerating access to consumer credit to millions of Nigerians.

On April 4, the president appointed Uzoma Nwagba as the managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) of CREDICORP.
