President Bola Tinubu has appointed Olugbile Holloway as the director-general (DG) of the National Commission for Museums and Monuments.
Holloway takes over from Abba Isa Tijani, a museology and anthropology professor, appointed on August 26, 2020, by former President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a statement on Thursday, Ajuri Ngelale, special adviser to the president on media and publicity, said the president expects the new director-general to bring life into the agency and ensure the preservation of Nigeria’s diverse cultural heritage.
“Mr. Holloway is the managing director of Evoke Communications Limited, a creative brand/consultancy agency,” the statement reads.
