President Bola Tinubu has directed the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and agencies in charge of enforcing traffic rules, to implement measures to prevent recurring fuel tanker explosions.
There has been a surge in petrol tanker explosions in the country in recent months, resulting in many deaths and injuries.
On Saturday, a petrol-laden tanker exploded at the Ugwu-Onyeama section of the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, claiming many lives.
