President Bola Tinubu has met with Massad Boulos, the US department senior advisor for Africa, in France.
Bayo Onanuga, special adviser on information and strategy to President, said the meeting was held on Thursday in Paris.
In a post on X, the US mission in Nigeria said the meeting centered on how Africa can build a lasting partnerships to achieve peace in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The meeting also had Tinubu and Boulos discuss avenues for expanding opportunities for economic cooperation in the continent.

“State department senior advisor for Africa Massad Boulos met with President Tinubu on Thursday to discuss regional security including working together with partners to build a durable peace in eastern DRC,” the post reads.
“They also discussed expanding opportunities for economic cooperation throughout Africa.”

On April 2, President Tinubu departed for France on a two-week working visit.
During the trip, he is expected to assess the progress of his administration’s ongoing reforms and lead strategic discussions ahead of the second anniversary of his tenure.
