Tinubu nominates three new CCB board members

President Bola Tinubu has nominated three new members to fill existing vacancies on the board of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).

In a statement issued Tuesday, Bayo Onanuga, the presidential spokesperson, said Tinubu announced the nominations in a letter sent to the senate president.

The nominees are Fatai Ibikunle from Oyo, Kennedy Ikpeme from Cross River, and Ibrahim Buba, a retired federal high court judge from Taraba.

The nominations complete the required 10-member board of the CCB.

Established in 1979, the CCB plays a critical role in maintaining integrity within public service and ensuring compliance with the country’s ethical standards.

Last month, Tinubu swore in Abdullahi Bello as the board chairman, laying the leadership tussle in the bureau to rest.

The current board members include Muritala Kankia, E. J Agbomayinma, Ben Umeano, and Juwayriyya Badamasiuy.
