President Bola Tinubu has reappointed Abdullahi Mustapha as the director-general of the National Biotechnology Research and Development Agency (NBRDA).

Toyin Omozuwa, Mustapha’s press secretary, said the reappointment was conveyed in a letter signed by George Akume, secretary to the government of the federation.

Omozuwa said Mustapha considers his reappointment as an opportunity to “complete his work” in enhancing pharmaceutical production and food security.

Mustapha, a professor of bioinorganic chemistry, was first appointed in 2020 by former President Muhammadu Buhari.
