Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says Nigeria needs a visionary and creative thinker like Nasir el-Rufai, governor of Kaduna.
Tinubu, who spoke on Saturday at the Kaduna investment summit, said he is proud to associate with the “visionary leader”, adding that his qualities are necessary to turn Nigeria around.
He also said the governor of Kaduna, whose tenure will end in May 2023, should not “run away” from the country for additional degrees.
“As a visionary governor that you are, we are proud to be associated with what you are doing. And the future is set for Kaduna state and the country at large,” he said.

“I am particularly begging el-Rufai not to run away for additional degrees after his tenure.
“We recognise the twists and turns of democracy, the hills and valleys of economic changes, but we have in Nigeria the can-do, the will-do, the ability to surmount problems and set the country back on the path of prosperity.
“Nigeria needs thinkers and doers. I’m openly begging Nasir el-Rufai not to run away for additional degree.”
