Bayo Onanuga, media director of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, says President-elect Bola Tinubu will return to Nigeria today.
In a tweet posted on Monday morning, Onanuga said the president-elect will touch down in Abuja later in the day.
“Nigeria’s President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu returns to Abuja today after weeks of a well-deserved vacation in France,” Onanuga wrote.

Tinubu has been out of the country for the past month, first visiting France before heading to Saudi Arabia for lesser hajj.

His trip had elicited speculation and controversy about the state of his health.
On March 22, Tunde Rahman, his media aide, released a statement providing insight into his whereabouts and itinerary.
Rahman had said Tinubu would also plan his transition programme while out of the country.
“The president-elect decided to take a break after the hectic campaign and election season to rest in Paris and London, preparatory to going to Saudi Arabia for Umrah (lesser hajj) and the Ramadan Fasting that begins Thursday,” Rahman said.

“We enjoin the media to stop publishing rumours and unsubstantiated claims and to always seek clarifications from our office.”
While away, Tinubu was also alleged to have held a secret meeting with Olukayode Ariwoola, the chief justice of Nigeria (CJN), in the UK.
The APC presidential campaign council and the supreme court subsequently denied that any such meeting took place.
