Tinubu’s A game got him APC ticket, says Chimaroke Nnamani

Chimaroke Nnamani, senator representing Enugu east, says the “A game” of Bola Tinubu got him the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

At a meeting with delegates in the build-up to the APC presidential primary in June, Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos, had said he deserves to be president.

In a series of tweets on Wednesday, Nnamani said Tinubu paid his dues for years through his perfomance as a politician.

“Tinubu paid his dues over decades, performing creditably in governance and politics. With an A-Game, they could not wrestle it from him. He got worried, sounded the alarm for his troops, Shettima and others rallied,” Nnamani tweeted.

“Decades of hard work, patience, resilience and tenacity paid off. The rest is history. When you shift power to Yoruba, you don’t go to Kwara or Kogi, you go to the south-west.”

The former governor of Enugu also said the Igbo cannot unite and take power because they allow themselves to be easily compensated.

“The weakness of Igbo is patently obvious such that they throw any bones at us and we bite,” he said.

“We must always be expected to show gratitude for any pittance. After all we were spared with ‘no victor, no vanquished’. We should be happy and not worry.

“We can always resort to spare parts and hugging containers. God will save us from scammers who have washed the heads of our youths. Aku nesi Obi Ike they thunder.

“That wealth strengthens the mind. Any Igbo dullard thinks he can engage in Strategic discussion of the Fate of a people. Intellect is derided. Elevated discuss denigrated.”
