Dikko Radda, governor of Katsina state, has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing “qualified” individuals to head river basin development authorities in the country.
On December 19, Tinubu reconstituted the management of 12 river basin development authorities under the ministry of water resources.
The appointees are expected to use their expertise to manage the country’s water resources and boost agricultural productivity.
Badru Ahmed and Abubakar Ibrahim, both indigenes of Katsina state, were appointed to manage the Sokoto-Rima river basin development authority (SRRBDA).
