Tiwa Savage’s ‘My Darlin’ shuts divorce rumours

Award-winning singer, Tiwa Savage,  released her new single, My Darlin, on Wednesday and the upbeat R&B song may just be the answer to repeated prying questions being asked about her five-month marriage to her manager, Tunji Balogun.

With the prolific Mavin boss, Don Jazzy featuring, My Darlin is sure to be a hit especially for loved-up couples. Tiwa lovingly describes her deep feelings for her ‘darlin’ and who else would Mrs Billz be referring to, if not her husband. At least, we do hope she is referring to Tee Billz.

She even admits she will stick with her “for better or for worse” marriage vows, singing: “I’ll always love you right, even when the road is rough”. Assuming there is trouble in their love paradise, as is been speculated, then we can be assured Tiwa won’t let it pack up without a fight.

The couple were at first very discreet with their relationship, and even denied it in interviews before making a switch to publicising their love after their engagement. They  seem to have now gone back to their winning formula of being discreet, while letting the world speculate on the state of their young marriage.

While being interviewed by media personality, Olisa Adibua on TheTruth, Tiwa chose to keep her lips sealed and did not respond to the questions surrounding her marriage. Perhaps, she only wants to discuss her marriage through her songs.

Confirming that the song is centered on their relationship, Tee Billz shared  a picture of himself in an embrace with Tiwa on Instagram shortly after its release with the caption: “Alaroka won O gbadun #MyDarlin”, a line from the song, telling off those speculating on their marriage.
