Charles Bruce Chukuma, the anchor of popular Rhythm FM programme ‘Sharing Life Issues with Chaz B’, has died.
The deceased reportedly passed on early on Saturday after a lengthy battle with kidney failure.
Popularly known as Chaz B, the indigene of Delta state had a magic wand that made numerous people across the country stay tuned to the radio network of Rhythm FM around 5:30pm from Mondays to Fridays when his programme aired.
Some of his fans took to social media to express shock over his demise.

“SRIP CHAZB! I am truly shocked to my bone marrow … I heard you on the radio yesterday and didn’t think it would be the last time,” Sisi Yemmie, a blogger, wrote on Facebook.
“The drive home is never going to be the same again when I can’t hear your booming voice say. ‘Guard your heart with all diligence because out of it flows the issues of life’ … rest in the bosom of the Lord. Great man.”
Gabriel Aghomi, another fan, wrote on Twitter: “Heard Chaz B is dead. Is it true? It had better not be.”

Betty Abah, journalist and author, reacted to the news saying: “Someone pinch me, please! My favourite radio personality of all time Chaz Bruce, dead?”
In 2010, the Nigeria Media Merit Awards awarded him as the best On Air Personality.
Chaz B attended kings College, Lagos and held an Advanced Business Management Certificate from North Technical Education Centre in Florida and an Associate of Science Degree in Hotel, Travel and Tourism Management from Miami Dade Community College (North), Florida, USA.
He is survived by a wife, who he often made reference to on his programme, and children.
