Tottenham Hotspur have announced the re-capture of Gareth Bale from Real Madrid on a loan deal.

The English Premier League side announced the return of the speedy winger on its website on Saturday.

Bale, Wales international, will spend the 2020/21 season at the North London club where he enjoyed six productive years, after falling out of favour with Zinedine Zidane, Real Madrid coach.

“We are delighted to announce the return of Gareth Bale to the Club on a season-long loan from Real Madrid. He will wear the number 9 shirt,” the club wrote.

Bale, who was twice PFA player of the year during his first stint with Tottenham, also won four UCL titles at Real Madrid before losing his place in the team due to injuries and lack of form and poor relationship with Zidane.

Joining Bale in Jose Mourinho’s team is Sergio Reguillon, his former teammate at Real Madrid.

“We are delighted to announce the signing of Sergio Reguilón from Real Madrid. The 23-year-old left-back has signed a contract with the Club until 2025 and will wear the number 3 shirt, ” the club added.

Reguilon won the FIFA World Club Cup with Real in 2019, while he was part of the Sevilla side that defeated Inter Milan to win the Europa League in August.
