Tottenham earned a crushing 3-0 win over Manchester United in their English Premier League (EPL) encounter at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The high-profile encounter turned out to be a one-sided affair with goals from Brenan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski, and Dominic Solanke crushing United’s dream of victory on Manuel Ugarte’s first start for United.

Tottenham took the lead in the third minute when Micky van de Ven’s 60-yard run to United’s byline ended with Johnson tapping into an empty net from the defender’s cross.

The goal is the earliest by Tottenham at Old Trafford since 2012, while it is the fastest conceded by Man United in over a year.

Tottenham continued to dominate the chances with Andre Onana, Man United goalkeeper, saving James Maddison’s dinked effort, Destiny Udogie shooting wide, and Johnson hitting the base of the post.

It however got worse for Erik ten Hag’s static side when Bruno Fernandes was shown a straight red card three minutes before the interval for a dangerous tackle, reducing United to ten men going into the interval

Ange Postecoglou’s side made the man advantage count two minutes into the second half through Kulusevski’s acrobatic mid-air finish beyond Onana for 2-0.

The chances continued to pour Tottenham’s way and the scoreline was only kept respectable, thanks to Onana’s save. The Cameroonian denied Kulusevski before producing a double save to stop Timo Werner and Solanke from further embarrassing his side.

Solanke eventually made it 3-0 on 77 minutes with a poked finish from Pape Sarr’s flick on following a corner kick to seal an impressive victory for Spurs.

They climb up to eighth position with 10 points from six matches, while Erik ten Hag’s side dropped to 12th position on the log.
