Tracka, a civil tech platform, has organised a town hall meeting to strengthen the capacity of Lagos residents to fight against corruption and hold the government accountable.
The town hall meeting tagged ‘Strengthening institutional partnership for anti-corruption campaign and service Dldelivery’ was held in the Ajah area of Eti-Osa LGA, Lagos state.
Tracka organised the meeting in collaboration with the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption (RoLAC) Programme and IDEA International.
Kayode Oseni, the Lagos state officer for Tracka, said corruption would continue to thrive if citizens failed to demand accountability from their representatives.

He highlighted the guidelines for writing and submitting a petition on fund misappropriation and non-execution of government-funded projects.
He said citizens must put pressure on anti-graft agencies to act on petitions and prosecute cases of corruption reported to them.
Oseni said citizens should form partnerships with non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to report corrupt practices within their communities.
