Tobi Amusan, the world record holder in women’s 100m hurdles, has teased a forthcoming feature-length documentary detailing her sporting exploits and challenges.
The 27-year-old posted a trailer for the documentary ‘Homecoming: The Tobi Amusan Story’ on Instagram on Tuesday.
The feature-length documentary would reveal Amusan’s journey to becoming a world champion and beating the doping scandal she got embroiled in.
“Over the past couple of years, I’ve been pouring my heart into a project that shares my journey—the highs, the struggles and everything in between,” she wrote in a caption accompanying the trailer.

The snippet also contains the iconic moment when Amusan became the first Nigerian to be a world champion in athletics in Oregon in 2022. En route to the famous victory, she set the world record of 12.12 seconds.
The clip also shows her sombre moments during her struggle with the Athletics Integrity Unity (AIU) over anti-doping violations.
In 2023, Amusan was suspended indefinitely for “missing three tests in 12 months”. She was not cleared of the charge until June 2024, when the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) dismissed AIU’s case against her.
However, the release date of the feature-length documentary has not been announced.
