Adama Traore scored two goals to help Wolves beat Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium – a result that leaves the Champions eight points behind Liverpool at the Premier League summit.
The loss is Man City’s second of the season and is also the second time they would be dropping points at home in a season with just eight games played.
It was also the first time City would fail to score in the league since May 2018.
Wolves had enough chances in the first period to take a three-goal lead, but the duo of Patrick Cutrone and Raul Jimenez squandered several glit-edged chances against a City side troubled in defence.

Pep Guardiola’s boys, in the absence of injured Kevin de Bruyne, looked short of ideas in the first period.
They, however, improved in the second with Ilkay Gundogan and Raheem Sterling both going close, while David Silva hit the bar from a free kick as City upped the tempo.
Wolves, desperately defending a draw, got a rare opening in the 80th minute and fully capitalised on it.

Raul Jimenez pounced on a loose ball and drove forward with three defenders accosting him. The Mexican evaded Otamendi and squared for Adama Traore to finish off for a shock lead.
Man City pressed for the equaliser but it was Wolves who stung again deep into added time with Traore completing his brace.
It was, again, the Jimenez-Traore connection — the former freeing the latter to confirm City’s defeat.
The victory makes it Wolves’ first EPL win at Manchester City in 40 years.
