The Twitter world has been responding with usual brutality and comedy, to the contradictory statements of Alex Badeh, former chief of defence staff, on the state of the Nigerian military.
Back in January, this was the opinion he expressed. By his pulling out ceremony on Thursday, he had something entirely different to say.
Below are a collection of tweets reflecting the mood with which the public received Badeh’s words.
They sent our soildiers on a suicide mission. They sent dem on a journey of no return. But Alex Badeh & his cronies grew pot bellies in ABJ

Alex Badeh has no conscience, he just proved it. The soldiers condemned to death are vindicated, what an army, what a country!

If Alex Badeh was a smart General, he wouldn’t be saying what he’s saying. I doubt he has a competent Lawyer that advises him.

Going by Alex Badeh’s comments, who then should be blamed for starving the army of sufficient weaponry and why didn’t he cry out then?

Alex Badeh should be court marshalled along with past CDS for Mismanaging war equipment fund and condemning soldiers to death.
