TRENDING VIDEO: How I got reinstated into civil service, by Maina

There appears to be no end in sight in the controversy over the reinstatement of Abdulrasheed Maina, former chairman of the presidential task force on pension reforms, into the civil service.

In a video obtained by Channels TV, Maina said President Muhammadu Buhari greenlit his reinstatement into the civil service.

He said Abubakar Malami, minister of justice, directed that the court order clearing the path for his reinstatement must be respected after he had filed a petition to the effect.

Maina said the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan had refused to reinstate him despite being cleared of corruption allegations.

He said Malami met with him in Dubai “after the security agencies cleared me of any wrongdoing”.
