Troops of sector 3 multinational joint task force (MNJTF) and Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have reportedly killed five ISWAP terrorists in Kukawa LGA of Borno.

In a statement on Monday, Olaniyi Osoba, MNJTF chief military information officer in Chad, said the troops also recovered arms and 40 motorcycles from the gunmen.

Osoba said the terrorists were killed on Friday after they launched an attack on the troops using suicide vehicle borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDs).

“Following intense air cum artillery bombardments and ground assault, five terrorists were neutralised while several others fled with gunshot wounds,” the statement reads.
