Two suicide bombers were killed when the military repelled an attack in the Shetimari area of Borno state on Thursday.
Chris Olukolade, defence spokesman, revealed this on Friday, saying that rocket-propelled grenades and some bombs were also recovered from the insurgents.
He added that over 12 rifles and a machine gun were captured from the group.
Olukolade said there was an ongoing mop up operation to “clean up the area and arrest those who are on the run”.
