Troops of the Nigerian Army have reported killed three Boko Haram terrorists after a raid on the insurgents’ hideout in Mafa LGA of Borno.

Citing intelligence sources, Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication focusing on the Lake Chad region, said the troops carried out the raid in the early hours of Saturday.

Makama said the terrorists were attempting to cross towards the Mandara mountains with a bag containing stolen corn before the troops thwarted the plan and killed one of them.

“Others fled in disarray with possible gunshot wounds,” the publication said.
