Troops of operation safe haven in  Plateau have reportedly rescued two persons when they repelled a kidnapping attempt at Maraban Jama’a road in Jos LGA of the state.

Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication focused on the Lake Chad region, said the troops recovered a brown Peugeot vehicle during the operation.

The publication said the troops, during a search operation in the area, rescued one Abdul Bello, the owner of the vehicle, alongside a lady identified as Sekyen Melody Yapshak.

Many Plateau communities have in recent times been destroyed during attacks by bandits and clashes between farmers and herders in the state.

Recently, troops of operation safe haven uncovered an illegal weapon manufacturing factory in the Pakachi community in Mangu LGA.
