Trump, Clinton lead Super Tuesday with wins in 7 states

Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton have maintained leadership of their parties’ presidential race as they record wins in seven states each, from the votes counted so far.

Clinton, Democratic Party front runner, won in Massachusetts, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.

Bernie Sanders, Clinton’s 74-year-old challenger, won in his home state of Vermont, Colorado, Minnesota and Oklahoma.

Trump on the other hand has won in Georgia, Alabama, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Virginia, Arkansas and Vermont, while Alaska is still being counted.

Ted Cruz, a Texan senator, won in Texas and Oklahoma, while Marco Rubio, a 44-year-old Junior senator from Florida, won Minnesota.

Trump and Clinton have won 10 of 15 states polled so far in the 2016 presidential race.

speaking at Palm Beach, Florida, Trump said he is “a unifier,” unifying the party.

“This has been an amazing evening. We’ve already won five, it looks like we can win six or seven or eight or nine. We’re gonna make America great again, folks. We’re gonna make America great,” he said.

“I’m going to be going after Hillary Clinton – if she is allowed to run. What she did was a criminal act. If she is allowed to run, honestly, it will be a sad day for this country.”

Hilary on the other hand said it has been an historic super Tuesday, calling out Trump, with innuendos that America needs more love and kindness.

“Now this campaign goes forward to the Crescent City, the Motor City and beyond. I’m going to keep saying it: I believe what we need in America today is more love and kindness,” she said.

“The stakes have never been higher. The rhetoric we are hearing on the other side has never been lower.”

Revered neurosurgeon Ben Carson and Kasich have not recorded any win in all of the 11 states counted thus far, with both parties insisting they would stay in the race till the very end.

Both Cruz and Rubio have been asking the other to step down and build a coalition against Trump, who seems to be cruising his way through the Republican primaries.

“So long as the field remains divided, Donald Trump’s path to the nomination remains more likely. And that would be a disaster for Republicans,” Cruz said.

“For the candidates who have not yet won a state, who have not racked up significant delegates: I ask you to prayerfully consider our coming together.”

According to CNN analysts, Carson may be tapped by establishment to run for senate, in order to increase the chances of Cruz, who is also loved by Evangelicals.

Carson has however made it clear that he would not be dropping out of the race, as long as he continues to get support from people around the country.

For the Republicans, the last state is Wyoming, in western US, while American Samoa is the last state for Democrats.

Clinton is leading in American Samoa.
