French League Champions, Paris Saint-Germain, have unveiled German coach, Thomas Tuchel as Unai Emery’s replacement.
Tuchel, 44, who had been out of work since leaving Borussia Dortmund in May 2017, signs a two-year contract with the mega-rich Paris-based club.
At his maiden interview, Tuchel, the former Mainz FC trainer, declared his “pride” in joining the “great world football club that is Paris St-Germain.”
The treble-winning Qatar-backed French club are seeking be an UEFA Champions League superpower, with a view to winning it, and Tuchel spoke of his readiness for the task ahead.

“I look forward to working with all these great players, all of whom are among the best on the planet. With my staff, we will do everything to help the team push their limits to the highest international level,” he enthused.
It remains to be seen how Tuchel will influence a superstar-filled dressing room and a Europe-hungry club after his volatile nature resulted in his acrimonious exit from Borussia Dortmund, winning just the German Cup in his two years in charge.
