Fiery preacher and political commentator, Tunde Bakare, says he is “hale and hearty and in good spirits” but needs time to rest after reportedly slumping during a lecture at Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos.
Saharareporters had reported that Bakare was rushed to the Reddignton hospital, Lagos after collapsing on Monday evening, quoting a source as saying the pastor lost consciousness as a result of overwhelming stress with a whirlwind of lectures, meetings and overseas trips.
However, the executive council of Bakare’s church, The Latter Rain Assembly, confirmed that the pastor was recuperating.
“Thank you all for your outpouring of affection and concern through calls, messages, and prayers,” read a statement posted on the preacher’s official Facebook fan page.

“Please be assured that Pastor ‘Tunde Bakare is hale, hearty and in good spirits, though in need of rest.
We therefore ask everyone to please remain calm and give him the space and time to fully recuperate over the next few days. Thank you all once again.”
