Two arrested as police exhume body of site engineer ‘killed by workers’ in Delta

The Delta police command says it has arrested two suspects in connection with the killing of Chigozie Udalor, a site engineer, in Akwukwu-Igbo, Oshimili North LGA.

A statement on Thursday by Bright Edafe, the police spokesperson in Delta, said the 38-year-old victim was killed on December 10, 2024, by four workers employed by him from Benue state.

Edafe said the suspects hit the deceased with a hammer on his head, buried him in a shallow grave in the site and withdrew his money from his account.

He said the body of the deceased was exhumed on Wednesday at the construction site, adding that the command is working to arrest the two other suspects currently at large.
