The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the house of representatives has lost two members to opposition parties.
The two lawmakers who dumped the APC on Thursday are Stephen Olemija and Ahmed Abu from Ondo and Niger states respectively.
Olemija defected to Action Alliance (AA) while Abu joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
They stated their reasons for leaving the APC in separate letters read by Yakubu Dogara, speaker of the house.

The lawmakers blamed the crisis in the ruling party for their decision to cross carpet.
The primary elections of the ruling party were marred by violence and controversies.
The development is coming a day after two lawmakers dumped the APC.

Mukaila Kazeem, one of the lawmakers who resigned from the APC on Wednesday, formally told his colleagues that he has joined the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
