The Falconets of Nigeria have qualified for the final of the ongoing WAFU B women’s U-20 championship.
The Nigerians secured the finalist spot after defeating Benin Republic 3-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi, Ghana, on Wednesday night.
Falconets had progressed out of their group with maximum nine points, scoring 16 goals in consecutive pummeling of Niger, Togo and Burkina Faso.
The Nigerian ladies never looked off-colour against the Beninoise as Aminat Bello put them ahead in the 23rd minute.

The strike was her third goal of the competition and a vital one that set the tone for the game.
Ten minutes later, Flourish Sabastine was heckled down in the Beninoise goal area, and Esther Onyenezide made no mistake from the resulting penalty to cushion Nigeria’s lead.
The Falconets took the game completely out of their opponents’ hands after the halftime break.

Taiwo Afolabi provided a sumptuous assist for Onyenezide, who made the score three-nil.
Nigeria’s Chinyere Kalu was selected as most valuable player of the encounter.
In the other semi-final game, the hosts Ghana defeated Burkina Faso’s Dames 3-1.
The results set up a final between Nigeria and Ghana on Saturday.
