Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna, has said his administration will not discriminate along religious and ethnic lines.
Speaking at the Kaduna Unity Christmas Carol, organised by the state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) on Sunday, the governor said religious and ethnic differences have caused so much division and stunted the development of Kaduna state.
He added that he “will make sure that development is taken to every nook and cranny of Kaduna state”.
“When I was growing up, my Dad would always force us to go to all Christmas Carols. So to me, this is a normal thing,” he said.

“Leadership is all about equity and justice. My government will not discriminate against anyone based on religion, ethnicity or whatever differences.”
The governor said he will be in the southern part of the state on December 21, 2023, for the groundbreaking ceremony of four major road constructions.
He added that he has also put several empowerment programmes in place for women and youths.

Last month, Sani said his administration is committed to championing genuine reconciliation among the people in the southern part of the state.
The governor appealed to the Christian community in the district to rally round the current administration in its quest to run an all-inclusive government.
