Uba Sani inaugurates pharmaceutical warehouse in Kaduna

Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna state, has inaugurated a “multi-million naira” pharmaceutical warehouse in the Makera area of Kaduna metropolis. 

Speaking at the event on February 12, the governor said the facility will contribute to improving healthcare in the state.

He spoke about his administration’s commitment to enhancing excellence and innovation in healthcare.

“Our healthcare initiatives have earned us 10 awards, including the prestigious Award for Excellence from the International Supply Chain Education Alliance (ISCEA),” Sani said.

The governor reiterated that access to quality healthcare is a fundamental human right and not a privilege.

Sani said the new warehouse will ensure a steady supply of essential medicines that will ultimately improve the health and well-being of Kaduna residents.

“By reinforcing our supply chain, we are ensuring that life-saving drugs and medical supplies reach every part of the state,” the governor added.

He also pledged to refurbish and modernise warehouses in the northern and southern senatorial zones to ensure there is uninterrupted access to medicines in the state.

Sani appreciated key development partners like the Global Fund, UNICEF, Fidson Healthcare, and Emzor Group for their “invaluable support in making the project a success”.
