Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna, says he will rehabilitate and empower the released #EndBadGovernance protesters who are from the state.

The governor noted that they will benefit from the opportunities if turn a new leaf and become responsible and law-abiding members of society.

Abdulkadir Muazu Meyere, secretary to the Kaduna state government, said the governor has asked him to receive the credentials of those who have completed their tertiary education.

“The governor promised that some of them will be given start-up capital to commence trading, others will be taught skills, and some will be given employment,” Meyere told journalists shortly after the protesters were released.

He said the state government would track the activities and conduct of all of them to ensure that they are of good behaviour before they can be considered for the benefits promised by the governor.

Meyere added that contact addresses, telephone numbers, and names of their next of kin, have been taken for easy tracking and monitoring.

He said the released protesters were all medically examined and given psycho-social counselling on the need to change for the better to be useful to themselves and society at large.
