Marcus Rashford came off the bench on Wednesday night to score a hat-trick as Manchester United dismantled RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League (UCL).
Barely a week after beating Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in France, United continued their impressive start with a 5-0 thrashing of the German side at Old Trafford.
Mason Greenwood scored his first goal in the competition in the first half while Rashford netted an 18-minute hat-trick in the second half as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side made it back-to-back wins in Europe to go top of group H.
United took the lead on 21 minutes through Greenwood, with the teenage forward coolly slotting Paul Pogba’s pass into the net with a one-time strike.

Although United dominated the game throughout the night, it was after Rashford and Bruno Fernandes were brought in from the bench that the floodgates opened — with four goals in the last 15 minutes of the match.
Minutes after coming on, Fernandes set up Rashford with an excellent pass that the England international ran onto and found the back of the net with an ice-cold finish.
United went three goals up on 77 minutes, thanks to Rashford, who was recently honoured by Queen Elizabeth II with an MBE for his works in helping children receive school meals during the coronavirus pandemic.

The 22-year-old turned his marker before using his blistering pace to race through the Leipzig defence to hammer an unstoppable shot into the net.
Anthony Martial made it 4-0 from the penalty spot on 87 minutes. The Frenchman dusted himself up to tuck in the spot-kick after he was brought down in the box.
The forward then turned provider for Rashford to complete his hat-trick with another thumping strike.
