Chinedu Udechukwu scored two goals in each half to help Katsina United to a 2-0 victory over Rivers United in a rescheduled Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match.
The striker scored the first goal as early as the eighth minute after pouncing on Isah Abdulrahman’s cross.
The team held on till the end of the first half.
Katsina continued from where they stopped before the break.

The pressure paid off in the 62nd minute when Udechukwu got his brace and the club’s second goal.
The visitors could not muster a comeback as the home team coasted to victory, moving up to 10th position on the log.
Rivers remain 16th in the league albeit with two outstanding matches.
