Nigeria’s Kamaru Usman has knocked out Jorge Masvidal of the United States to defend his UFC 261 Welterweight championship title.
The “Nigerian Nightmare” defeated Masvidal in round two of their rematch face-off to continue his dominance in the category at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida on Sunday morning.
A straight right hand absolutely knocked Masvidal out cold before he hit the mat in a minute two seconds into the second round.
Kamaru Usman triumphant. Again.

Usman, in his post-match interview, said: “I know with my fundamentals I am the pound-for-pound best fighter on the planet right now.
“No disrespect, thank you to my man Jorge. You elevated me. He made me go to the workshop and I had to sharpen all my tools to put on a performance like that.
“I told everybody, I’m still getting better. The sky’s the limit for me for as long as I’m doing this.”

The 33-year-old Nigerian now has a 19-1 win fight record after four straight title defense. It was also the first time Masvidal had been finished by KO/TKO since 2008.
The duo previously met at UFC 251, where Usman defended his title via unanimous decision last year.
