Flying Eagles assistant coach, Nduka Ugbade, has called on the Super Falcons to work towards not just being Africa’s champions but the best in the world.
The female national team will kick off their campaign against Ivory Coast in the Africa Women’s Championship on Saturday in Windhoek, Namibia.
And Ugbade is optimistic about Falcons performance at the AWC.
“I strongly believe that Super Falcons will perform well; they have never had a problem at the tournament; they have won it eight times back to back, except on two occasions,” he told NAN.

“They have all the support they need, so their ability at AWC is not in doubt.
“My major concern is for them to spread their tentacles far away, not just dominating African countries. They need to be world beaters, not just at the continental level; they have won this championship more than any other African country since 1991.
“It is high time they focused on the big picture by going global; I believe they have all the potential that they need to harness.”
