UNIABUJA VC, Nduka Otiono among nominees as Association of Nigerian Authors announces fellows

The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) has announced the list of its 2022 fellowship nominees.

In a statement on Friday by Maik Ortserga, its general secretary, the association said it considers it a rare privilege to “reckon with the nominees’ enormous investment, participation, and outstanding contributions to the growth of literature over the years”.

“The National Secretariat of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) is, hereby, pleased to release the list of ANA Fellowship nominees for 2022.  We have come out with the list after a thorough assessment by a committee set up for the purpose,” the statement reads.

“We hope that the nominees will accept their nominations in good faith and continue to render the selfless service that is the basis for the Fellowship nomination.”

The nominees include, Abdul-Rasheed Na’Alla, vice-chancellor, University of Abuja; Nduka Otiono, an associate professor of African Studies and English; Tess Onwueme, Nigerian playwright; and Emmanuel Ojukwu, former police public relations officer; and Razinat Mohammed, award winning author.

Other nominees are Anaezi Okoro, Moses Tsenongo, Udenta O. Udenta, Emmanuel Frank-Opigo, John Asien, Miasonima Minima, Vicky Sylvester, Lindsay Barret, Yusuf Adamu, Tony Marinho, Mark Nwagwu, Dul Johnson, and Amanze Akpuda.

Honorary fellows include Chidi Osuagwu, Zainab T. Ahmed, and Abubakar Maigandi.
