UrbanID unveils digital solutions to prevent identity theft, protect data

UrbanID, a technology firm, says it is providing innovative digital identity solutions across Africa and South-East Asia to prevent identity theft and protect data.

In a statement on Thursday, UrbanID said it is revolutionising the digital identity landscape with its cutting-edge solutions.

UrbanID presented its products at the ID4Africa 2024 conference and exhibition in Cape Town, South Africa.

“UrbanID is proud to present state-of-the-art digital identity solutions and products for the developing world, with specific emphasis on Africa and South-East Asia, focusing on their unique identity management challenges,” the firm said.

Commenting on the digital solutions, Olatunji Durodola, founder of UrbanID, said in a world where identity theft and protection of data are subjects of immense debates and concern, “digitalisation will go a long way to eliminate the social barriers that prevent complete equal participation of all citizens in a country’s political, economic and social structures”.
