US-based Waterlight Save Initiative appoints Agbaminoja as board’s secretary

Waterlight Save Initiative, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) in the United States, has appointed Ranti Agbaminoja as the secretary of the board of directors.

The NGO, approved by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), has a mandate to work on projects that promote sustainable water use, protect water resources, and ensure equitable access to clean water.

Agbaminoja’s appointment was announced at the end of the 18th meeting of the organizations during the resumed regular session of the ECOSOC in 2024.

A statement by the NGO said as the secretary of the board of directors, Agbaminoja will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of board meetings and decisions and facilitating communication between members, officials, and external stakeholders.

She will also contribute to the development and implementation of the NGO’s strategic goals and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices in non-profit governance.

Her appointment is expected to strengthen the organisation’s efforts and expand its impact on global water sustainability, addressing the pressing challenges of water scarcity and environmental conservation.

“My role is pivotal in ensuring that the board’s activities are transparent, efficient, and aligned with the organisation’s mission. My expertise in communication is expected to be instrumental in advancing the organisation’s objectives and enhancing its outreach efforts,” she said.
