WASHINGTON, DC - JUNE 30: White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany talks to reporters during a news conference in the Brady Press Briefing Room June 30, 2020 in Washington, DC. McEnany continued her pointed criticism of The New York Times' reporting that the Trump Administration failed to organize a response to an alleged plot by a Russian military intelligence unit to pay bounties to Taliban-linked militants to kill U.S. and coalition troops in Afghanistan. Kayleigh McEnany, President Donald Trump’s press secretary, has solicited divine intervention to secure victory for the Republican at the ongoing US election.

McEnany took to her Twitter page on Tuesday to recite lyrics of ‘Way Maker’, a song by Osinachi Joseph, a Nigerian gospel singer better known as Sinach.

“You are way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper, light in the darkness! My God, that is who You are!,” she wrote as the race for who emerges the next US president heats up.

The post has garnered over 2,300 comments, 11,900 retweets and 65,700 likes as of the time this report was filed.

Trump, the incumbent president, is seeking re-election against Joe Biden, Democratic presidential candidate.

McEnany’s tweet comes a few days after ‘Way Maker’ was named the ‘Song of the Year’ at the 2020 Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards.

In May, Sinach also became the first African to top the Billboard USA Christian songwriters chart after the song dominated the log for seven weeks.
