Gunmen have attacked a station of the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) located in Idemili north LGA, Anambra.
ABS is a state-owned media organisation, which operates radio and television stations that cover Anambra and some parts of the south-east.
The gunmen were said to have invaded the station in the early hours of Monday.
The gunmen burnt down two operational vehicles of the station during the attack.

Ikenga Tochukwu, Anambra police spokesperson, in a statement on Monday, said no life was lost in the attack, adding that the station has been cordoned.
“Following a distress call today 30/5/2022 at about 4:30am of a case of arson in Anambra State Broadcasting Station Idemili north, the police operatives responded swiftly and prevented the hoodlums from causing damage to the structure,” the statement reads.
“Unfortunately two of the operational vehicles belonging to the station were affected. No life was lost.

“Meanwhile, the station has been cordoned off and operation is still ongoing in the area. Further development shall be communicated please.”
Anambra has recorded a spate of violent attacks, including arson on public properties.
On April 7, gunmen razed the headquarters of Aguata LGA, where Chukwuma Soludo, governor of the state, hails from.
On May 16, gunmen set ablaze 32 utility vehicles belonging to Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) when they attacked the headquarters of Idemili north LGA.
