Victor Boniface, the Super Eagles striker, was involved in an auto accident in Germany on Saturday night.
The crash happened hours after Boniface led Bayer Leverkusen to a 2-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Bundesliga, scoring the winning goal.
The 23-year-old left the accident scene with minor bruises and is receiving treatment in the hospital.
A video of his damaged car posted on X(formerly Twitter) showed the front passenger side with major damage.

Boniface also posted a picture of himself receiving treatment, with a caption thanking God.
“Na so una for hear say my enemy don die,” the Akure-born striker wrote.
“Thank you, Lord.”

Boniface has played a starring role for Bayer Leverkusen so far this season.
He has scored seven goals and provided one assist in all competitions.
Boniface was part of the Super Eagles squad held up at the Libya airport for over 16 hours last week.
