Ahmad Isah, a human rights activist who helps people get justice, has come under criticism for slapping a woman who allegedly assaulted a child.
Isah, popularly called ‘ordinary president’, hosts a long-running radio and television programme known as ‘Brekete Family’.
In the latest BBC Africa Eye documentary, the activist can be seen slapping a lady who was accused of setting her brother’s daughter on fire over an allegation that she is a witch.

Isah’s action has elicited mixed reactions from Nigerians on Twitter.
While some expressed support for his action, others argued that he should have restrained himself and not physically abuse the woman.

He had NO right to hit her. He is not judge and jury, if we say he can, then others can, if others can, others will. Where does it end?
Get angry yes! Use that anger to ensure justice is served. We're not animals. https://t.co/bSiPrMETuc

That slap is well deserved. People complaining of "assault" will do worse if their child is involved. Shove your fake activism up your ass https://t.co/nfiWJbBWdk

Was he right to slapped her? NO
Did she deserve a slap? Yes
Did she get the slap she deserved? No
That place is toxic because the guy also will not know what came over him, just the way she did not know what came over her. https://t.co/SMY0t5tVJi— national leader (@nationalleader5) May 17, 2021

It’s so annoying that Nigerians only saw the slap and forgot what the woman has done, this is our problem in this country, why can’t we forget about the slap and just focus on what the woman did and come back to the slap later. This country needs God
