VIDEO: Exchange of blows at Nasarawa assembly

Scenes like this were last seen in November 2014 when some members of the federal house of representatives scaled the fence to gain access to the national assembly to prevent the potential impeachment of Aminu Tambuwal, speaker of the lower chamber.

On Monday, lawmakers of the Nasarawa state house of assembly exchanged punches after disagreeing on Tanko Al-Makura’s appointment of fresh sole administrators for 11 local governments.

Six lawmakers accused their colleagues, who endorsed the governor’s action, of collecting bribes, while the other lawmakers opted to suspend the protesting sextuplet.

Below, courtesy of Channels Television, is the video of just a part of how elderly men threw punches at one another, and jumped over their seats and tables in a manner common among primary school students.
