VIDEO: How soldiers broke into residence of Wike’s commissioner

A video showing how soldiers invading the residence of Tamunosisi Gogo-Jaja, Rivers state commissioner of education, is trending online.

In the video, at least five persons identified as family members of Gogo-Jaja were seen fleeing into a direction as armed soldiers barged into their GRA phase 3 home in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

Gogo-Jaja and his family members were later whisked away by the fleet of fierce-looking soldiers.

TheCable gathered that the incident happened on Wednesday.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state condemned the incident, saying the army has “been dragged into full-time politics”.

But Musa Sagir, army spokesman disagreed, saying the military would remain apolitical.

“The Nigerian Army personnel are totally apolitical, neutral and will continue to discharge our duties in line with the Chief of Army Staff directive, extant Rules of Engagement, Code and Conduct and the Constitution of our country,” he told TheCable.
